With everyone so busy with family and work, it can be challenging to make time to give back to our community and our world. That’s why JAI built a mindset of serving people into our mission with Design that Makes a Difference. Our life and work are both much more rewarding when we make a positive impact on the lives of people. When we start any project with this mindset, it ignites a deeper passion and inspires us to see challenges as opportunities.

We Impact Travelers

With our emphasis on hospitality design, we have a direct influence on creating inviting, delightful, and memorable experiences for guests. Whether on business or leisure travel, when someone stays in a JAI-designed hotel we hope they leave feeling like, from the smallest detail to the overall aesthetics, we thought about how our design would positively affect their stay.
Our design services are a way we can give back to people all over the world without leaving the confines of our own work environment.

We Impact Our Community

It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a year since we completed our first Heart Project, the Harborside Wedding Chapel in our local community of Safety Harbor, FL. At the end of April 2019, the chapel will celebrate its 100th wedding.

It has been a joy for us to see photos of beautiful weddings and hear the many stories of how the wedding chapel was part of a bride and groom’s incredible day.

We Impact Our World

It’s been two years since my trip to Jacó, Costa Rica, where I felt the clarity of JAI mission: Design that Makes a Difference. This year we watched the progress of our four-phase Heart Project begin to take shape. What an honor it has been to help design a college for a pastor who is saving so many children through his gift of education.

And Here We Go Again!

I will be returning to Costa Rica in August with my husband and my 12-year-old daughter. We will be connecting with Pastor David and his family and I’ll continue using my gifts and talents to make his vision a reality. I am also excited to see the progress that has been made so far on the college we are working on.

We will have an opportunity to serve and love the “river kids” and their families again. This is my daughter’s first time going with us and I know it will have a profound impact on her life. She has been studying Spanish for the past two years so she could communicate with the children in Jaco when we returned. She’s ready! This experience will undoubtedly open her heart and eyes to a very different world. She will see firsthand how, at any age, you can make a difference.

I hope to provide you with an update on the college and our trip when we return. In the meantime, I will continue to support and raise funds for the college’s completion. I also have a long-term goal of starting a foundation that will provide funding for future heart projects so JAI can continue to create Design that Makes a Difference in our local communities and around the world.
