The Scope of Work
Designers Christina Kirkpatrick and Melissa Sears diligently led the renovation, focusing on the original concept’s key characteristics that define the hotel’s style: casual and elegant, masculine and modern, and simple yet sophisticated.
Christina and Melissa honored those qualities as we brought the public areas, hospitality suite, concierge lounge, boardrooms, and meeting spaces through to completion.
Playing favorites is not easy when there are so many beautiful elements to love, but the reception area and lobby lounge stole our hearts!
The reception desk features simple yet stunning board and batten paneling in a deep blue tone. The paneling’s perimeter lighting illuminates the entire reception area like a jewel box.
The adjacent lobby lounge is positioned next to a stone-clad fireplace. The warmth radiated by the fireplace paired with the glowing reception area in distant view fully captures the elegant yet casual atmosphere we were aiming to create.
Let’s not forget about the seating area near the entrance. The bookshelves, accessories, and custom sculptural art creates a modern and masculine environment upon arrival that acts as an exciting background vignette navigating the lobby.

Located within the lobby area is 17 Arrows Craft Kitchen & Bar. With a warm sophistication balanced with the wholesome Midwestern spirit, this spot offers guests a pleasant bonus amenity to enjoy at leisure.
Steps away from the bar, guests are treated to a new market area for various quick-service options to get their day going. The market design effortlessly blends this space into the stunning lobby area.
The hospitality suite and concierge lounge were redesigned for guests looking for a little more with their stay. The space creates the ultimate place to kick back, relax, and unwind.
One look at the new ballroom and boardroom spaces will have guests ready to book their next event! The hotel’s ideal location in the heart of all the action makes it the perfect place to host events and meetings.
Modernized light fixtures and a new carpet pattern paired with the original coffered wood ceilings create a dynamic yet sophisticated modern space.
Finally, no design would be complete without an eye-catching outdoor environment. Guests can grab a cocktail, step outside, and find the coziest place to sit by the roaring fire. Perfection!
